H. Bresnahan & Sons, a painting and decorating contracting business owned by his father prior to his sudden death in 1945. Mr. Bresnahan, a proud, lifelong resident of Peabody was born on December 18, 1922, the oldest child of Michael Henry and Margaret Bresnahan in his beloved “Crow Village” neighborhood. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy A. A celebration of Chris's life will be held on March 3 at 10a.m. At St. Patrick's (9 N. Clinton Ave, Bay Shore, NY 11706).

Catherine Louise Kelly Koch, a resident from Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away on December 4, 2022 at the age of 71. Catherine was a native of Henderson Point, Mississippi and daughter of the late Martin J. Kelly and Louise Elizabeth Posner. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward G. Koch III, siblings, Martin J. Kelly, Jr., John Michael Kelly, Thomas P. Kelly and her granddaughter Rebekah. Catherine leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children Edward G. Koch, IV... Benton “BJ” Jean Bordelon Jr., 88, went to God on December 6,2022.

Beverly was born in Savannah, GA to the late Howard Ezell Peavy and Earle Burnsed Peavy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Thomas Edward Long, Sr., and a nephew, Leslie Howard Peavy, Jr. Beverly was a lifetime teacher who felt the call to teach in first grade. After graduating from Georgia Teachers College, she returned to Marlow Elementary to begin her 33 year career as a teacher in various grades before becoming Lead Teacher.

She also received her Masters Degree in Education from Georgia Southern College and was a member of the Effingham Retired Educators Association where she served as president for 4 years. Beverly was kind and gentle but honest when speaking her mind. She was a prayer warrior and faithful member of Powers Baptist Church from the age of 6. She has served in many capacities at Powers including teaching Sunday School and leading the WMU. During Covid she also began watching 3 other church services weekly on her iPad.

Francis was predeceased by many friends and loved ones including his siblings Philip Bresnahan, Fred Bresnahan, and Barbara Murphy. Mr. Bresnahan was involved in many charitable endeavors. He formed the Francis Bresnahan Trust which provided scholarships from 1986 to 2019 to Peabody residents who had graduated from local high schools. He married Dorothy Costello of East Boston in 1950 and they enjoyed almost 68 years of marriage before her death in 2018. They lived and raised their family in Peabody always emphasizing the need for education, a grounding in Catholicism, and honesty and respect for others.
